Mongolia

Mongolia 2006

In 2006, Warm Woolies delivered 1,799 pieces of our warmest and most rugged clothing to children in Mongolia.  This year, Warm Woolies' goal is to provide 3,000 warm garments for the children of Mongolia. The average high temperature in Mongolia for December is 7 degrees Fahrenheit.  You can click here for a 10-day weather forecast.

Many of the children for whom we knit dig through trash piles to help support themselves and their families.  Many are homeless and live in tunnels under the capital city, Ulaanbaatar.

Take on the challenge of knitting the 2007 Cardigan Sweater Coat, my knitting friends.  The power to bring warmth and hope to a child halfway around the world is in your hands.
