WARM WOOLIES April Vest–of–month

Here in Denver, our streets are filled with flowering trees and my thoughts have turned to spring. This pattern is a standard Aran stitch pattern and one I incorporated in a sweater I knit some twenty-odd years ago when I was in college.

The pattern is seventeen stitches wide and twenty-seven rounds high. You can incorporate it in step 4 of the Warm Woolies Vest in either size. The vest in the photo is shown in the smaller size and I worked about 10 rows of step 4 before I started the pattern. Be sure to center your armholes on the pattern.

Purl the stitches marked with an "X" on the chart, knit all other stitches. Here is the chart:
