Our June vest was graciously created for Warm Woolies by Carol D. of Lakewood, Colorado. Thank you Carol! We named it after we took the photo (which appears below) at the summit of Mt. Evans, one of Colorados 14,000 foot peaks.
The pattern refers to the Warm Woolies Vest Pattern (size 6-8) which can be found here.
X-Pattern for Vest
Follow the vest pattern through Step 3.
Knit 43 stitches, begin pattern at row 1, purling marked squares, Knit 14 stitches.
Continue X-Pattern rows 1-10, repeating as necessary, until piece measures 9 =; knitting 43 stitches before X-pattern (back and side) and 14 stitches (side) after X-pattern.

Follow vest pattern Step 5. continuing with X-Pattern.
Continue Vest Pattern Step 6 and 7.
Step 8 Front Continue vest pattern using garter stitch for 3 stitches each side and 29 stitches in the stockinet stitch in middle keeping the X-Pattern using the stitches that are above the gray line. (one fewer stitch of the X-pattern on each side)
NOTE: When using the stockinet stitch the x-pattern will be worked by purling on the front side and knit on the wrong side.
Finish per the vest pattern.
