Previous Volunteers
Sarah,
a soon-to-be thirteen year-old Warm Woolies volunteer, decided she wanted
to do more than knit. In late July, she canvassed her neighborhood with
a list of items desperately needed by the White Buffalo Calf Battered
Women’s Shelter. What a fantastic job she did! We filled a van with the items she collected – new towels and blankets, disposable diapers, boxes of personal hygiene items, bags filled with school supplies.
We distributed the items Sarah collected both at White Buffalo Calf Battered Women’s Shelter and at the Spotted Tail Crisis Center. The Spotted Tail Crisis Center provides short-term emergency care to children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect or abandonment. We also delivered several bags of school supplies and dozens of our hand-knit wool hats to young children at North Elementary School.
Our hats are off to you, Sarah, on a job well done!
